Johnson's is located on the hill at the north end of St. Mary. The RV sites are okay, with most of them having at least partial shade during the day. For those who would like to be separate from the RVs, Johnson's has a large area where you can dry camp, and they've also got sites with only water and electric hookups available. We stayed in the main RV area, mainly because we met up with my folks at St. Mary and they wanted us to be next to them (they've got a fifth wheel and they like full hookups). The facility is quite clean, and the people are very friendly (it's a family owned business). The scenery is spectacular. The restrooms/showers are very clean. The showers operate by tokens (included in the price), and each token lasts about six minutes. A laundry facility is also available. The sites around the "meadow" area are nice, and several of them have water/electric available. There are also numerous dry camping sites. Area attractions: Glacier National Park. Going to the Sun road (Logan Pass). Many Glacier area of GNP. Short drive across the border into Canada to the Waterton Lakes area (Canadian side of the International Peace Park). The location of Johnson's is fairly central for the east side of Glacier. Johnson's is also one of the stops (and fueling stations) for the "Red Jammer" tours. The Red Jammers are the old open-top tour vehicles that take people on tours of the park. They've all been completely refurbished, and they run on propane. The atmosphere of Johnson's is quite relaxed. I took several pics of Johnson's, and they're posted at the following link: http://community.webshots.com/album/552797830RFRWDQ I plan on staying at Johnson's again some day in the future. If I have the PUP for my next stay, I plan on staying in the meadow area with water/electric hookups. If I have a fifth wheel when I return, I'll stay in the main RV area with full hookups.
