drove 2 hours to go look at it.
It is a 2000 Aero Cub C230 ( by Thor) d/w 3180 lbs
Seller wanted $4200, we did not pay that after inspection
5 foot manual slide out
Full bunk end in Back, Queen in Front.
U shaped dinette collapses to queen
Jack knife Couch for twin
Full bathroom with shower
2 way fridge
13.5 Roof A/C
List goes on.
It is in really nice shape for 13 years old too!
Found a few items wrong with it, which we negotiated down in price with.
1 - The rear Bunk door outer laminate was "popped" out of its lower seam track ( above the hinge)
2 - we found an OLD water stain inside the rear curb lower closet. ( it was dry, and not softened)
3 - underneath the entrance seemed too flexible, so crawled under, there was a silver FOAM panel (which was exposed) and saw there was a 3/4"x2"wooden cross member that was cracked (looked like there was a KNOT or CHECK in the strapping?) they were not petite owners either. he was 6-2 and easily 350lbs.
4 - the right brake light/signal did not work, as did neither of the roof line running lights all around.
( I am guessing bad ground somewhere?) bulbs were all good/tested
5 - The jack knife sofa was not bolted down to the slide-out box frame. ( i will have to add new cross pieces under the box, the old holes were just stripped in the 1/4" luan)
most are easy fixes.
The ROOF DOES NOT LEAK ! wooohooo... no soft spots, no water stains, no FLEX in the roof liner.
I was not able to climb up to look at it though like I wanted, he did not have a ladder.
Bunk end seals were in great shape too.
He had the A/C and fridge running when we got there. was nice and cool, fan was powerful.
The Furnace fan kicked on with the thermostat switch on the wall. but he had no propane to test the heat/stove with.
It has a battery in the front storage, but not sure how it works with this system yet.
Tires and bearings were replaced after they moved, dot code 3809, so thats good.
The only thing I am concerned about is the water/tank/drain systems. we had no way to test any of these. i wont be able to see what they do or dont need for another week.
It is identical to this one here, except the interior colors are just a hair differenthttp://www.jerrystrailers.com/Inventory_Pages/2000_Aero_Cub_C230_Vin6802.html
I will have more pictures as I go through it more.
